I have been a Maserati, Jaguar, Ferrari, Austin Healey nut for years... I have owned 3 of them. I am now in the market for a Maserati coupe... These cars are as close to a work of art as a car can get.... They older ones are even affordable... When I am thinking of buying one of these works of art,,,,, color is a one of the bigger decisions. A Ferrari,,, must be RED. The others have a few more color options.... Blue, yellow, green, red, maybe even black.... But, what I really don't understand, when buying one of these cars, how can you decide on silver, gray or white... These are not colors. A Honda is white.... A Ford tauras is silver. Sorry for the rant,, I just had to get this off my chest.

Some people will use these cars daily and it helps having a color such as silver so that it wont attract too much attraction. Plus some combinations can be very classy such as Silver or Grey with red/bordeaux leather.

Some cars look good in red, some don't. I know of a 3500 Vignale Spyder that looks great in gold. It's original color.

Frankly, the newer Maserati coupes -don't- look good in red (IMHO). That body shape cries out for a colder color like the blues and greys.

I do agree this red combo isn't to great. Maybe it's the black wheels. A little bling would help.. This isn't a spoof... Color in a car like this,, is a big deal. But to each his own...

Color was a big deal to me when I was shopping for my Maser. I think it's a very personal choice, so there are no rules.

Although I've seen a gorgeous red/tan spyder, red didn't do it for me in a coupe either. The only color that really captured my heart was 90th Anniversary Blue. Very tough to find, but worth it.
