Colorado Grand Consours Non-d'Elegance.

    The Colorado Grand Concours d”Non-Elegance display.

    The Colorado Grand this year as in years past, will end its 1000 mile tour of the Rocky Mountains on Saturday September 17th at the Lionshead Mall in Vail.

    In addition, all the major car clubs from around Colorado have been invited to partake in a special venue of their own.

    For those on the list that do not know. The Colorado Grand is recognized worldwide as the finest event of its kind, leading with distinctive pre-1960 sports and racing cars through the Colorado Rockies each fall. The event is now in its 16th year.

    Pre-war entries, which are encouraged, include Alfa Romero, Peerless, Mercedes-Benz, Delage, BMW, Bugatti and Talbot cars.

    Post-war cars include Allard, Aston Martin, Ferrari (of course!), Maserati, HRG, Porsche, Lancia, Kurtis, Jaguar even Bristol, HRG and Pegaso. Many of these cars are one of a kind models and major race winners and this is a very unique opportunity to view them. Entrants come from around the world to share these wonderful cars with us. (Thanks to P.G. for this list…have a great time!)

    I do strongly suggest getting there early. The cars will place 7:30am to 9:00am and the lucky owners of these cars are encouraged to remain until 1:00pm but most participants prepare to pack up their cars for destinations worldwide after brunch.

    Fortunately for me, I will be joining an all Ferrari group on a shorter three day event and our route will not coincide.

    Same for me, it's at the same time that the Ferrari Foliage tour...I'll take the TR for that run in the mountains..and so will 39 others.

    I went up to Vail last year and did see a number of Amazing autos!
    Lots of fun!
    I plan to be there again.

    Roland. My plan for FFFT05 is to keep in someone's draft as much as possible.
    That’s the only way my little 308 can hope to keep pace with you and your fat TR.

    I better keep you behind the TR, you make to much noise now with the new exhaust. It's like at a GP running in the rear ( like last Sunday !! ). No wonder that the cows were so spooky .

    Last Sunday was GREAT!!

    Dont even blame the cows on me, they were spooked cause they were being slammed to the ground and HOG tied.. :)
