Colour Certificates N/A for "newer" cars anymore

I've been trying to get a "Colour Certificate" from the Ferrari Owner's Site in the Historic Archive section for a while now with no success. So I decided to e-mail them, and here's the response I just received:

"We would like to confirm that we have received your request for the certificate of the Original Vehicle Colours. However, we regret to inform you we may not issue the Certificate for your Ferrari 3.2 Mondial with VIN (omitted by birddog) due to the fact that only the vehicles which were built before 1980 and are fitted with carburettors can obtain this document. Should you wish to receive any documents for your vehicle, please be aware that the best reference point is your trusted dealer, who will be pleased to assist you."

I thought these used to be available for "newer" cars, but maybe not. Maybe I just got on the bandwagon too late. Oh well, just letting y'all know in case anyone else has been trying to get one and hasn't been able to.
