A genuine ex-Law Enforcement M4LE weapon. As such this has minor wear to the finish, bolt, charging handle etc. No dents or deep gouges. Has the monolithic upper with folding front and rear sights.

An unusual (collectable?) feature of the weapon is that it is Colt factory marked "Restricted Military / Government Law Enforcement / Export Use Only" on the right side of the receiver. Not a blank surface like the majority. Compare with normal AR15s to see the difference in values that "Restricted" LEO rifles are getting. Sometimes double the price.
Also paperwork is registered as Colt's Defense as the manufacturer not some individual or trust.

I'm keeping one of these for myself as this is my favorite SBR of them all. I will take a personal or business check if you give it time to clear. Obviously certified funds OK. I've never fired it and as a used rifle there is no warranty. A visual inspection shows nothing that should keep it from functioning. Check it with a gunsmith before firing. Know your laws as far as registration and legality. I can't possibly know them for your local or State regs. This will require all the class 3 hurdles such as local law enforcement signatures, a trust or a corporation. BATFE wait times down to 6 months or so.
$200 filing fee with BATFE as well.

$1,390.00 shipped and you pay transfers and fees on your side. I pay them on my side.
Process easier and quicker for Texas residents.

    Thanks

This rifle is a great foundation for a "Mens Barbie Doll" rifle.
You can put anything on top including a 9MM sbr upper, drop in lower kit, and be legal.
Shorty length perfect for suppressor addition.

    Get you some ! :D

Very cool. How are the SBRs to shoot compared to a regular (16in) AR?

They are louder since the end of the barrel is closer to your face, other than that not a significant difference.

I have heard that but was wondering if there was anything else I didn't know. Perfect reason to slap on a suppressor. Thanks!

I highly recommend using this charging handle with a suppressor. The suppressor pushes more gas through the tube, and the ridge keeps the blow back out of your face.

I have never fully understood the advantages of modified charging handles other than ease of charging which is never a problem to me.
But have never put a suppressor on a AR15 SBR. Plan to :D

I HAVE heard that the suppressor on a 5.56 (or any full power rifle cartridge) SBR needs to be rebuildable and/or have a lifetime warranty because with a shorter barrel the gasses exiting are still burning thus hotter. The first baffles will erode quicker.

New ones are finally available again but for 2 grand and without the Restricted roll marks that this one has. Pretty rare.

This one is a nice rifle but with some cosmetic wear. Lets call it "patina" at no extra charge :D

Lowered the price to $1200 for Fchat peeps. You pay shipping which is about $50.

    Its a 10.5" barrel. Good to go for 100 yards/meters. Perhaps 200.
Made for close quarters combat/ in home defense. Real world stuff.

Once you have a registered SBR lower the flexability is limitless; if you want a 24" bull barrel upper or a 7" 9MM DOE uppers with magazine/ mag well insert kits its all do-able. And its a Colt. The monolithic upper alone is worth almost what I'm asking.

    Sold on Gunbroker.
It was right at the point where I was going to pull it and put a 9MM 7" barrel Department of Energy upper on it and keep it. Probably be kicking myself in the butt later. Full DOE guns are getting 4 grand but with a 9MM roll marked lower.

Good deal, and nice purchase. I like the monolithic upper. I just took receipt last month of a Daniel Defense DDMK18. Similar, but different to the Colt. I just hope the RIS rail will handle the LMT M203 I intend to mount on it, like they claim. Paper should clear in another couple months. Form 4s are taking just around 4 months lately.
