Just saw the ad for this in the State, and among all the food/music/etc listings it just said "Italian Cars". I remember some of the local Ferrari owners were there last year, so I'm wondering if that will happen again Saturday, or maybe folks are heading up to the CAFE event in Charlotte?

Here's the link to the event in Columbia-

No comparison. The CAFE event is the place to be!

TO ROBERT AND WHOEVER WANTS TO PARTICIPATE: We ARE having the display of Ferraris at the FIFTH ANNUAL ITALIAN FESTIVAL and BOCCE TOURNAMENT around the beautiful Columbia Art Museum fountain. Cars should be in place no later than 10:30 am. The Art Museum is located at the corner of Blanding Street and Main Street and the cars will be OFF THE STREET in their own area. WE ARE NOT OBLIGATED TO STAY AFTER DARK though the area is well protected.

Sorry that this information is getting out late, but WE NEED YOUR CARS so COME ON OUT! We had a great time last year at the festival and it looks like the weather and temperature should be fine.

Contact me, Chip Browne, here or at (803)730-6721 if you need further assistance or instructions.

I've just got a busy day of stuff to take care of and probably can't get up to Charlotte. BillC--thanks for the info, I went to the CAFE event at Morrison last year and it was awesome.

We had a fine time with all the happy people who came out to the Italian Festival and Bocce Tournament. The weather was wonderfully overcast with no raindrops and the Italian food and beverages were consumed "con entusiasmo". A couple of pristine 360s (Buddy Delaney's silver Modena and my Rosso Corsa Spider), David Poston's fine iconic silver 308, Ed Trottier's very rare seafoam green type 400GT five speed, and Danny Bernstein's immaculate 16M flaming red Scuderia Spider graced the Art Museum fountain plaza. Everyone seemed genuinely delighted by the collection and there were no incidences except for the inebriated lady who SAT ON MY CAR"S HOOD for a photo. Luckily for her I was not able to grab my Glock from behind the passenger's seat and there was no apparent damage. The collection of cars was small but the enthusiasm was strong and I really want to thank all the guys for participating, especially at the last minute. Ciao!

    Chip,

Sorry we had to leave early but we did have a good time. My son/attorney William had to get back to make arrangements for the USC - Kentucky game. I'm sure David Poston is a good guy but the silver 308 was mine.. I'm sure when the lady sat on the hood of your beautiful 360 spider my name slipped away. I also enjoyed meeting your wife. I can see you married over your head.. :)

The security was excellent, I am attaching a picture of the authentic Roman security.

Sorry, Tim. That's what I get for using out of date lists instead of just remembering your name. I'm glad you and your son had a great time. We all did and that TIM GEDDINGS Silver 308 was top notch, too! Take care.
