Clax..I said add another 90 horse to a Z06...That bumps to almost 500hp. Which will also up the torque output. Now here is where the Corvette wins in a STREET RACE!!. In other words stop light to stop light as they do HERE IN THIS COUNTRY. Now the Enzo makes 485ftlbs of torque at 5500 rpm. The Corvette makes 420ftlbs of torque at 4200. The Enzo makes all it's 660 hp at 7800 rpm. The Corvette makes all it's power at 6200. With the gearing in the Corvette being set for fast acceleration with minimal effort the Corvette will beat the Enzo in a stop light to stop light race. How many Enzo owners do you know will to a full out launch in their car? How many Corvette owners do this on a regular basis? This is way the Vette will win. Top end..of course the Enzo will destroy the Vette and the track yes it will beat it stock for stock. Bottom line is this. The Vette is built to be beat up and mashed on hard in a straight line. They are also closing in on far more expensive cars on the track aswell. I would not be so comfortable placing bets on a Corvette no matter if it's modified or not. They will surprize you. I have been witness to many races involving exotic cars against "run of the mill" cars. Any you know..more often then not the exotic loses the race. Not because it can't win..but because the driver is chicken to beat the car. This is the biggest problem with exotic cars. The owners can't handel the car. Were as the guy in the Corvette can and will beat on it because he knows his parts are just a chev dealer away.
I was useing it as an example that any car can be made to go fast with barn yard parts. Oh yes 80% of Ferrari's 430 are to be F1 (automatic IMHO..anything without a thrid pedal is an automatic) so there goes that compairison out the window. Yes there was quite the waiting list for the C5 when it was first announced. In fact I think it was almost a year. There is now a massive waiting list for the new Zo6. And yes Corvettes have sold for upwards of 600k. And I belive one sold for over a million. Personally I like the fact that you can pick the color of somthing your buying. Would you buy a oink sweater if it was all they said they could get? I think not. If I spend good money on somthing I'll be damned if sombody else is going to tell me what the color of it will be. And no..I love my Ferrari. Not becuase it is fast (which it anit in fact I like the fact that it slow..keeps me out of trouble) but because it's a car that I enjoy. Even if it had a Ford name plate on it I would love the car just the same. You see I'm a car guy. I like ALL cars not just one type or maker. You guys should try it some time. There are so many different flavors out there that I could not go through life without at least trying one of each!
Yes, fine, I understood that. Uh, sorry, no it won't. One. And that's all it will take. Launch control starts? No problem. The only way the Vette will win is if the Enzo gets struck by lightning. I am very comfortable with placing a bet on this. Surprise me? I have owned a few. No surprises here. A good friend of mine owns a 427 Z06, which runs about 580hp. I took him no problem in my Murci. The Enzo would only be worse. And you are claiming that a 500hp is going to be faster? Nope. Not happening. I know of few who can (myself included). Don't count out exotic car owners. And, if you are willing to go along with this bet, I am still very interested. As for "beating" the car, for the love of god, drive the cars the way they are meant to be driven. And don't base your bet on a street race based on your impression of "exotic car owners".
Great, a TT Z06 is a great sports car but thats where it ends. it is a tuner SPORTS CAR not an exotic! The enzo is an exotic car and should not even be in the same league. I see 80 C5s a day and have never once seen an enzo on the road! So I could care less if the Z06 flew by the enzo. I have seen a 4 door accord run a 10.2 sec 1/4 mile and it looked like a sleeper...but I wouldnt even trade my 944 or S2000 for it! Its not all about straight line speed! Any moron can mate a big motor and a turbo together and make a car go fast! I am not saying that the TT Z06 is crap, i actually like the car, but get serious it is not even in the same league.

Then you know that next weekend Feb 4 & 5 we are back at Moroso with Italafest. Ferrari and Lambo. Bring the Vette. You work the gate, right? Also Jim Kaminski will be at the gate and he allows "rare" non Italian cars in, like GT40 and 427 Cobras, etc. I'm sure there will be an Enzo or 2 there. If none registered yet, perhaps the locals guys could get Julian to bring his - he is not afraid to hammer his car. I did a poker run in his group and he is not timid with his car. So what do you say all? Same Time-Same Place? I'll even make the video. Put up or shut up.

What am I missing? Maybe it is a different car? Does it mean you will be driving in that race? What experience do you have on the track? You do understand that such race is by time not by one on one. You can certainly not ask someone to put fine italian carabon against the crude american plastic. If you ro your friend dents his $ 40,000 Corvette it is something entirely different than the $1.4M Enzo. Shall I speak to Kaminski about a two lap each between 12 and 1pm during the lunch break and the kiddy lap? You can get both out at the same time spaced half way around the track. Bring that thing to Moroso on Saturday next week for Italia Fest and I will try everything to get Jim to allow this race. Neither do I believe that you are capable of driving this car at speed or on the track. I also do not believe that anybody would be so foolish as to lend you that car. Silver tent with a dark blue 360Challenge underneith that will say Cavallino Motors.com on the front bonet (that is the cover that you lift to find the Corvette Engine just in case) Surprise me. I think the Corvette is a great car. Its the best bang for your buck on the streets. It'd be a good race. I want too see a vid if this is still goin on.
The Koenigsegg was not at the Spike TV awards, we happen to be the Dealer for Koenigsegg... The car was shipped back to the factory. Get your stuff together. And NO the video will not be posted online. If VolkswagenRacer intends to post his video online , which happens to be illegal content, he will have a major problem.
