I sure hope this isn't what I'll be coming to expect from Comcast service in the future.

Today while I'm doing laundry downstairs I notice no noise is coming from the tv. Turn the tv on in my room....snow. Come back to the living room, the cable guide works but no cable. I'm thinking how can that be? I wait a few hours figuring the workers outside disconnected something and it'll be back on shortly (i live in a townhome community that's still being developed).

I just get off the phone, what a waste of time. All he does is put in a work order....FOR NEXT ****ING SATURDAY! I swear when I'd try and get problems solved for my parents problems when Houston was still Time Warner they could diagnose things over the phone, or at least would help me input various codes or walk me through something.

I just turned off the box and unplugged it reset it, and nothing. It says "boot" and then goes blank. The Time Warner boxes would reload the time and everything within a minute. Not a thing with this box(Scientific Atlanta).

Anyone else had an issue similar to this before? Issues with Comcast?

lol my neighbor was just telling us about her trouble today, theirs has been out since wednesday and comcast said that they would be out today in time for the VT game, they never showed and she called, they said that there were no scheduled times for them until monday. we live in a gated community and my neighbor called the guard house and asked if any comcast trucks have come through and she said 3, so my neighbor goes out and hunts down a comcast employee and they agreed to fix the cable then and it ended up taking a whole 5 minutes

    Good idea.
I'm sure it's probably nothing a simple quick fix won't take. Glad to see your neighbor got hers fixed. I missed watching several games this evening.

Nothing quite like a boring evening and no tv to watch.

    Thanks yall.

ComCrap is hands down the lousiest cable service ever! Olathe(a local town here in kansas) was ruled out as a place to buy my home due to comcast being the only carrier.
    All hail Time Warner RR.
Buried power lines were my other requirement. No more ice storm disasters without power.
