Joren, I`m already here and waiting for your spaghetti-thread-story you just mentioned in the bonkers Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
Thank you very much guys !!! Another life has started !!!! I just discovered something!!! Interesting. From my office I have a view on the technical car inspection across the street. From time to time some nice cars are passing there with this afternoon a white US 308 GTBi with, unfortunately, aftermarket Borbet rims, but anyway !!! Woow, adrenaline starts flowing again and I jump to the other side. I had a little chat with the guys at the car when suddenly somebody asks me if I don't wanna buy a 308. I said : " Sure why not, I just got my first one from last saterday but anyway, I am always interested to know what's going on here!!". "Follow me" he replied. "I live a few houses away and there I have it". We arrive at a regular house with kind of a workhouse aside, all dusty, tools everywhere, just messy. A perfect place to work on cars at night, ideal atmosphere and everything. The car stands on a bridge with grandmothers blanket over it!!! It's a red on tan US GTBi, originally black and fully restored according to the seller. The US bumpers adapted to Euro-standards. What a view again..... His XK8 was parked outside and there he showed me some pictures from all the cars he has restored already. Currently he has the 308 and an excellent E-type 3.8L for sale. Those discoveries are so great!!! It gets me so excited, damn what do I like Ferraris. Even yesterday. I was with Bertus in Brussels. We visited "VDV Grant". Cars, cars, cars there !!! Unbelievable !!! All for sale : 308 GTSi / 246 GT / 250 LM recreation / several Bugatti / E type / Alfa TZ, Zagato,,, / Talbot / Fiat 124 Volumex ////// name it. Check out their website : www.vdvgrant.be I really have the wrong job. If somebody knows something for me...... Joren REMANS
WOW, what a wonderful story. Seems like the Ferraris are running to you and you don`t need to search for them But please take care! The 308GTSi is (just) a 2 valve...not bad, not wrong but worth mcu less than your 4valve!!! Nice link with awesome great cars, thanks for the hint. Wolfarossa FORZA FERRARI
The last days (read weeks) I am more involved and occupied with Ferraris than with my job!!!! Beside all the CLK's, E's, C's, SL's and so on I currently discovered some real cars that are for sale: -From a private collector : 1978 308 GTB & 1982 308 GTSi. Both in perfect condition. +/- € 33.000 each -From one of my MB-customers : 1990 Mondial T Cabriolet. Perfect & cheap. € 30.000 -From a car enthusiast : 1976 308 GTB / US to Euro / perfect € 30.000 -VDV Grant : 1981 US 308 GTSi € 33.000 I believe -This afternoon discovery : US 1980 308 GTB € 22.000 -Somebody else : 1982 308 GTSi perfect € 35.000 & Mondial T fishy at € 22.500 -And of course Ton's 1987 328 GTS Where is he BTW ??? Long time I've seen him on the board I think??? Plus some other cars I don't think of immediately. Joren REMANS
Very nice story and site Joren. It proofs there are a lot of Ferrari's in the little country that Belgium is. But often, they're very well hidden. Last year I got to know that there's a 348TS kept in a garage-box from a large house, only 500m from where I live! Right around the corner! I see the car every time the garage-box is open when I drive past. Unfortunately the car didn't seem to be taken out for a ride in the past11months! Even with the beautiful weather last summer, it stayed inside... Greets, Alex.
When I see this kind of lists, it always is getting harder to resist those nice cars. I actually could buy one already, but I guess it's just a bit too soon for me. I'm a bit affraid of unexpected large repair bills. I couldn't handle those already, so... better be patient. And on the other hand, again, I really would like to have a F355! I'll see what I'll do in the future... Just save a little more first and if I really can't wait... I'll buy one anyway. Greets, Alex.
Hi Joren, I am here! I have been very very very busy the last couple of weeks and It doesn't look like it is getting better soon. I also will change my working place to Eindhoven in July and I spend many hours negotiating. But at first.... congratulations on your extremely beautiful 308. She looks even better than I expected. You have made a wonderful choice. I hope to see it soon. Ton
