Hi All, I grew up in San Antonio, but have been living in Seattle for the last 15 years. During that time I was fortunate enough to become an owner, and I've been very active with the Seattle FCA group over the years, having a blast all the way. I moved my family back to San Antonio a couple of months ago, and I've seen a 599 and a couple of 430's and 360's around the neighborhood, and each time I've felt that familiar and uncontrollable grin spread across my face. So what's the best way to get connected with other F-car owners in SA? Ciao and Grazie! Dave
Send myself or Scuderia-San-Antonio a PM and we'll get you on the Evite list. I know my location says Austin but I'm a very active member of the SA club as well. We just had an event yesterday and we have at least one event each month.
Dave, this forum is a great way to become connected, as well as the F club of SA. I have met TONS of fellow Ferrari owners just from here alone. Look for some events like 'cars and coffee' that we do here in Houston. Those are great ways to meet new people. btw, love your spider!
Yes, well in Seattle we use F-Chat but more often a simple email list to keep in touch with each other, so my F-Chat subscription had lapsed and they put the screws to my PM's. I renewed so I'm once again legit! That seems to have bumped up my PM quota and resolved the issue. Dave
Well thanks for the welcome everyone! It is very NICE to be back in Texas - there's really no place like it! Nice yellow Spider, Jason. There's not many of them out there, so we should definitely get them together at some point if at all possible. In Seattle, I had a friend who had almost exactly the same car as I did (black/tan and all). It was really funny since they only made about 1000 Spiders total, and not many of those black. Both of us had to search a long time to find our cars, but it was definitely worth the wait! Of course, pretty much all F-Cars are electrifying like nothing else, so you really can't go wrong - not many things like that in life! Thanks again and I look forward to connecting in the near future! Dave
...the FCA hill country chapter website isn't fully operational yet, but between that and the local dealership there's activity to be found if you look for it - i see three ferrari regularly commuting bitters road west of 281, although i haven't had a chance to meet the drivers...
The Hill Country Chapter is for the Austin area and the South Texas Chapter is for the San Antonio area. I've already had Dave added to the South Texas Chapter Evite list.
