All of those items will likely need to be acquired through a dealer, and it will be extremely expensive. It is probably best to enjoy your beautiful new car and forget about those extraneous options. The driving experience and sound will help you forget quickly!

You can get CF wrap, which the good stuff looks real :) ask your dealer about it

Nothing you are asking for is a necessity unless you face an unusual situation, i.e. very small garage requiring folding mirrors, etc. The 458 ride height is very good and if you face an unusual problem buy (relatively inexpensive) undercarriage protection. As for the rear camera, it is nice but again not necessary. The dealer is who to ask to get an idea of what it costs and challenges. As someone else said, unless critical, leave it alone and enjoy. A must is a "clear bra" if you want to protect the car. Best

Congratulations on your upcoming car - it is phenomenal.

One of the joys of spec'ing your own car is the chance to get it EXACTLY the way you want it - options, features, finishes. Of course, one of the pains is paying for all those options!

Buying used, or picking up a free allocation, means you often have to give up and compromise if it's a good deal or perfect timing - though some choose to wait and search patiently.

One VERY painful thing to do is retrofit a spec in a car. I think the carbon race seats are $20K USD from the parts department; adding the rear camera involves a new bumper (if the Ferrari version), or just add a 3rd party (eg. hidden in the screen, or on the plate frame). The money adds up.

If those specific features are "requirements", you might want to consider taking the car and making a deal with the dealer for a near-term allocation to spec to your liking, then trade the current car back. OR, you could pass and either wait for a slot, or find the perfect pre-owned.

I would caution that the "retro-fit" path is just very expensive for some of the items you're interested in. Having said that, working with a specialty tuner (eg. Capristo, MacCarbon, a wrap et al) can really help you further personalize the car.

You would be better off buying a used the way you want it than switching everything out. A lot of used cars have 300-1000 miles which is really like new anyway and maybe get your next car as you want it exactly. Aftermarket changes are cost prohibitive with parts and labor. If price is no concern I'll sell you my fully optioned 14 italia for 50k over MSRP. :) just kidding.

Enjoy it like it is. Upgrades that you mention will be 4X the option cost and you'll never recover it or see the value from it.

Let me see, left hand racing seat, alcantara and leather, small, from Ricambi, $17,000+ each. So around $35K for the racing seats. That would kind of eat up whatever savings you got picking up someone else's 458. Best advice is what they said: to enjoy her like she is and trade down the line if you cannot live without those features.

Sometimes I don't understand why these accessories are so expensive ! You can buy a new car with that money .

If you bought the parts to assemble any car, regardless of how expensive or inexpensive, you would have at least 5 times retail price in parts.

You don't need any of those options on a 458 Italia. I spec'd my car without them to begin with and LOVE the car. No need for lift or camera for certain. Folding mirrors are, again, just not needed. Roll your window down, pull them toward you! :)
    Great car, for certain.

well, this car was actually "already specced car" from the dealer so I have not much of a choice or otherwise wait 9 months...so......I merely waited 3weeks which is fantastic for me since it shortens my misery of waiting by lots!...

Consider having the paint corrected by an experienced detailer or cover it with Xpel or similar clear bra plus after coat (22ple or kamikaze) threads in this section on those. Congrats.

Congrats on the Fcar. Let the smiles begin. Recommend taking her straight to xpell clear bra. You wouldnt want to know what happens when small stone hits hood at 100+ mph.

I agree with Entropy's advice. I think you should put yourself down for a spot now, you can always pull it back later, and you could trade this in for the new one. In the mean time you can see if those options are truly must haves or if your point of view changes over time. I find the race seats make a huge difference with how I interact with the vehicle, but that's just my experience.
