    I'm heading to Fort Hood the end of October. My unit's been alerted for an Afghanistan deployment so we're required to receive three to four months worth of training in your neck of the woods before we blast in February.

    I was initially hush-hush about it but that philosophy quickly dissolved when I fricking read about it on a Boise newspaper's website. Plus, the Governor even made an announcement.

    Maybe, I can get a chance to meet some of you. Just as a reminder, I'm the lucky fella' that bought Jerry and Susan's 308.

    I am planning a weekend in Dane's honor down at my uncle's ranch, just a hop, skip, and jump from Fort Hood. (Probably 2nd weekend of Nov? But not nailed down yet)

    We'll be drinkin', smokin' cigars, tellin lies, riding 4-wheelers, and gunnin' for bambi, in no particular order.

    There's a 5 bedroom house with all the modern amentities, so any Fchatter that wants to come out will be welcome.

    More details, and a firm date to follow.

    I hate the way that sounds especially considering just how disappointed you'll be when I show up....kind of like Pee Wee Herman in a Hell's Angels Poker Run.
