Will be down for a quick business trip in the San Antonio area (two days) and wondered if there were any car related places I should try to see (Will be during the week).

Assume hosts are taking us to Riverwalk....best place to eat there? Anything else I should try to see?

Visiting San Antonio? Lucky you my friend! It’s a great town with a great atmosphere and plenty of nice cars to ogle.

If during the week, your best bet is probably a visit to the local dealer, Barrett Motor Cars aka Ferrari of San Antonio. They are factory authorized dealers for Ferrari, Maserati, Jaguar and Saab with interesting cars always available new & used (not to mention back in the service bays). Located on IH-10 west just inside the 1604 loop. I'm sure either Jeff or Tony will be glad to show you around.

For a great place to eat with authentic Texas Hill Country atmosphere, get back on IH-10 heading west after you leave Barrett for 2-3 miles to the Boerne Stage Road exit and go to Rudy’s Barbeque. And do *not* skimp on the sauce ;-)

Valeria raves about a little Italian place she found on the Riverwalk, I will see if she can recall the name...

I strongly recommend Casa Rio, on the Riverwalk. I ate there when I was down there in February. Some of the best Mexican food I've ever eaten.

Also Boudros....great food. As for Casa Rio... It's just typical Tex Mex...they were a client of mine. I was never overly impressed.

Agree, it must be Paesano's, which is quite good. If you want good Mexican (Tex-Mex) forget about the river. The places I would recommend in town for Tex-Mex are either Henry's Puffy Tacos (stupid name, good food) or El Chaparral in Helotes directly adjacent to San Antonio proper. PM me and I can give directions or other restaurant suggestions.

I was pretty impressed, but that's just because I'm a DFW guy and I'm never down there.

Dolores Del Rio, and they have belly dancing....LOL!

Hmmm....reading some of the reviews in TripAdvisor, I retract this recommendation.
It seems they have had some issues, with Health Department.

Yes, that place was fun, but no more for me.

Downtown sucks for Mexican food. Hit up Mi Tierra or Rosario's. Would be my best advice.

Paesano's is good for Italian, but Il Sognio is worh the walk or cab ride (Pearl Brewery)

Luke is good for Foo Foo country

Biga on the Banks is good for dinner, Sushi Zushi is in the same building and is the best Sushi in town.

PM me if you need more help.

I just noticed that. I would LOVE to go up and look at track progress, but tomorrow night is only night I am here - flight got in late tonight.

Tomorrow we are being taken to riverwalk...

Will throw the recommendations up tomorrow and let you guys know where we end up...By the way, in my short time here this evening, there has been a great deal of hospitality by folks, and unlike NC, it actually seems genuine.

So far you Texas boys are making a good impression.

Ate at Rita's at Riverwalk last night. Food was good, but service was a little slow.
