Hi everybody, I was asked at university to critique a magazine and then "pitch" a theoretical story for that magazine for a feature. I decided to do F1 Racing mag as 1. I had a few lying about and 2. Its more interesting than doing The Weekend Australian. Anyway my idea for a story was to gather 4 drivers from different eras together along with 4 different cars from previous eras and simply have a day (lets say Silverstone as it is usually used in these stories) in which the drivers test the cars then give their views on the cars. I thought it would give an interesting insight into the technological development of these cars, how the art of GP driving has changed and finally, give those champions that say today's car are "easy" a taste of what they are talking about. My line up was as follows: Emerson Fittipaldi Alain Prost Mika Hakkinen Jenson Button Maserati 250F Lotus 72 Williams FW11B Ferrari F2002 The drivers are all still fast and fresh enough (I believe anyway) to be able to test these cars to their full potential. The cars were chosen as they were the best representation of their era. The reason I made this thread is (apart from hoping some of you might find the idea intriguing) was to get your thoughts on the drivers/cars you would like to see? Some of you (tifosiron for example) were AT the grand prix' during this era and might be able to suggest more appropriate cars/drivers.
