    Hi

Does anyone have the specs for generic compartment struts for all three openings. Need to order a set from somewhere and would prefer to order by specification rather than name.

I got them too from SGS engineering solutions. They are great. No Ferrari logo of course..

5 years ago I did research based on the part number on the internet. I searched the Sachs site (the original maker) and was able to get original parts without the logo. I think even the factory sources no longer have the logo on them. There are reports that some get the original ones rebuilt with varying success.

I ordered mine from a web supplier called "Parts Geek" (Discount Auto Parts Online -- PartsGeek.com - Domestic & Import Auto Parts Warehouse). I ordered 2 Engine lid struts and 1 Trunk lid strut. Didn't need them for the front lid as those struts are still working fine.

    Here's what I ordered:

    1985 Ferrari Mondial Hood Strut Price: $48.23 Core: $0.00 Extended Warranty: $0.00 Qty: 2 Part #: 6531

    1985 Ferrari Mondial Trunk Strut Price: $55.23 Core: $0.00 Extended Warranty: $0.00 Qty: 1 Part #: SG437005
