I knew it would happen sooner or later. I participated in a local concours yesterday in which my Dino, and a couple others, were judged as part of a oddly mixed class (246's, 308's, a couple Testarossa's). Judges, who often times have limited knowledge of Dino nuances may deduct for perfectly correct items, or completely miss incorrect items.

But now, because of the Compendium, I fear that they'll become smarter and more observant, and many of us will see a drop in scores...sigh!

These judges went to the Compendium a couple times to get clarification during judging of the Dino's in my class.

I think the trick here, is to pull it out only when it will be against you, and save you..don't think too many judges will buy Matthias's book, so we're still OK.

Ron, at P.A. they did not have enough Ferrari to make separate classes, that is really a weird mix and it happens at the smaller events.
A couple of years back, at Avila Beach, Daytonas, etc. competed against a trailered SWB. Guess who won? Oh, and there was a TdF that should have won, as really well used and in line with its purpose, but against a quasi trailer queen...

How did you do? They spot the phenolic board, the infamous engine light or...

By the way, how are the XWX's? I am ready to bite the bullet, as that will be the push to finish.

    Regards, Alberto

A couple quotes I overheard coming from the judges were...

    "This book is sooo cool!"

    "That book rocks!"

But then, we all knew that!
