My purpose is to remove all the old coolant because they are not the correct ones.

I tilted the car to about 10 degrees by raising the rear of the car.
I removed the drain plugs on both radiators.
I drained out about 9 liters of coolant, helped by compressed air(without which it will be only 6 liters). Since total capcity is 18 liter, so I removed 50% of the old coolant. I wondered why? Where are the other 50% stored at?

I then can only add 5 liters of pure water. I let the engine run until 110 C. shut down engine, and I felt the coolant tank in the engine bay is hot on top and only a little warm on bottom. Why is this?

At this particular point I'd think that thermostat is open since the temperature is alerady over 100, but can I assume that the water I added has been mixed with the undrained coolant? Should I remove drain plugs at the moment (if safety isn't an issue) although it will only remove 50% x 5/18 of the old coolant ?

Why not remove all the plugs?

Also short of turning the car upside down 100% just will not come out.

I only know there are 1 plug for each radiator. Any other plug should I know?

There are plugs on the block that need to be drained. I think one is located under cyl 5. You will drain much more that way.

Remove the plugs on the engine..remove the 2 hoses connecting to coolant pipes from the engine that travel to the front of the car..pull the drains on the rads..use a mop and bucket to clean up the mess.

Reinstall all plugs..hoses..and clamps. Use a vacuum filler/airlift device to fill the cooling system with approx 16-20 liters of coolant/water mixture..Pentosin Blue is what I use with a 50/50 mix.

You will not get all of it out but it will be good enough.

When I am servicing 360s, I remove the two #14 hoses, the drain plugs on the side of the engine block, & the two drain plugs on the radiators. That gets most of it. If you don't have a vacuum filler, you can fill the tank, add pressure, clamp off hose #9 and release the pressure. The bleed hoses #11 & #13 will purge into the tank. Release the clamp & fill again and do this until the level of the tank does not drop. It may take 3-4 rounds of fill, pressure, clamp, purge, release.
