    Thanks Mark,

Ok so I bought these from Mark sight unseen…and as a typical Long time Ferrari owner and Ferrari Chat member they arrived exactly as he say they were.

After a weekend of fun on the water all these new aches, pains and bruises that I have are dedicated to you.

    Well mostly…….

We finally got them on the water (after the shipping issues were worked out) Saturday. So it went like this.
Saturday morning we get up all bright and early full of anticipation for a day full of speed and sun. First thing I realize is the tongue weight of the trailer is too heavy for my truck and the trailer is too low to the ground…Off to the trailer store to buy a 3” rise hitch (I will be moving all the boats back on the trailer about a foot this should help a little). Ok again excitement mounting as we load the truck and head to the lake.

We finial arrive at the lake around 11:30 only to find out due to the lack of rain fall here in Oregon that most of the Boat launches are closed and only one remained open. So we head over to the other side of the lake to find the one remaining open Boat ramp (and I use the term boat ramp loosely) to find a 1/16 mile road down in the water lined with trailers, because apparently the bright sun obscured the giant 6’ sign indicating NO trailer parking alongside the side of the boat ramp.

So I using my less the stellar trailer towing skills gingerly back this thing up dodging all of the pickups and camouflage clad beer belly’s curtesy of Pabst blue ribbon. When I finally arrive at the water (amidst a crowd of highly entertained spectators) I realize that the road levels out and before the boat can get fully submerged water was entering the back door of the truck. So I tried a different approach and backed the trailer off the side of the road (as other had) to steepen the incline. Well this worked and was able to get all three boats in the water (2:30 now).

All three boats started and we were on our way to fun in the sun…….But no, the boat would not get out of forward so I headed back to shore turned the engine off and pulled it to land. Come to find out after we pulled it out of the water (and that was whole different story) that a small rock had lodged itself in the linkage, after removing it operated perfect (so apparently it’s not a good idea to launch your boat where there is gravel)

Ok still excited to have the two Jet Skis working and on the water. The son eagerly gets on the yellow ski and heads off into the wild blue yonder. Now you must understand the son he is 21 6’3 220lb and believes he can do anything so because he had once seen a YouTube video of professional Jet Skiers and naturally he assumed that he also could (on his first time EVER riding a Jet Ski) submerge the entire Ski under the water and continue on his merry way….well as might have already guested it did not happen quite like that. After he flipped the Boat several time the engine was full of water and the battery dead.

I then got on the only remaining operating ski and towed him back to shore. Ok two down and one to go.

The wife and I spent the remaining several hours playing with the red ski (worked flawlessly all day).

After arriving home I put the yellow ski on the battery charger for the night. In the morning tried to start the yellow Ski but to no avail however still not deterred headed out Sunday with friends with there skis to a different lake. Well this time the boat ramp was perfect and the launch took less than 20 min.

Now armed with two operating boats (and no 20 year old) went about tearing up the lake for several hours until we were pulled over by the lake sheriff and giving a ticket for not having a fire extinguisher on board the Ski Boat. Note I did buy one but in all the excitement of a normal boat ramp and two working skis I left it in the yellow ski that was still on the trailer. $110 dollar ticket later we were back to having fun in the sun and both operating skis worked perfect (thanks Mark for taking such good care of them).

Monday I bought the best marine battery you can buy, called a Jet Ski mechanic and learned how to get the water out of the engine. After I removed all the water from the Yellow one it started just fine.

So we are planning a trip both this Sat and Sun excited to see all three boats on operating on the water at the same time.

So again Thanks Mark they are in excellent shape
