Is this a compomotive wheel ? It's without the center cap, what surprises me is it doesn't have the center cap lock nut hole on the wheel. Only the 5x108 holes. I have not seen the compomotive TS without the cap, or this is a replica version ? Any idea ? Image Unavailable, Please Login

The writing on the lower left spoke probably says Compomotive. The center caps for the Ferraris had the single hex key, but the center cap for a different application might not use it.

It is shaped a little differently than mine. The ends of the spokes near the bolt holes are rounded on mine; straight across on your picture. I think a Compomotive, but maybe not for a Ferrari.

The number of bolts is also different. Different wheel sizes?

If I see correctly it looks like the nut inserts are flat like if they were for a splined hub adapter(center nut) like the early TR.

Here is a pic of an 18-inch Compomotive on a 1989 328. Similar to your picture, but with center cap mounting hole. This car has a handmade small silver cap.

I've seen TS's with this set up before. They're not set up for the Large center cap's like most Ts's

Here is a photo from the web of a set similar. You'll have to source a smaller Ferrari center cap, similar to the stock ones.

I have a set of the caps new in the box with the Ferrari horse. I can post a pic later so you can see the size and thread depth.

Thank you all. The wheels without center cap were they designed for ferrari ? With cap or without looks better.? What do you think ?

If you see my attached pic the center hole looks very big, I would think it will not look good if the center cap is too big. But in your pic , the center cap looks very nicely fitted. Maybe the center hole is smaller than the wheel pic I attached? If you check the distance between the nut and the center cap distance . Yours is much smaller center cap hole

I was lucky to be able to find a very nice set of TS17 for my GTS. And I was once thinking of removing the center cap but I finally decided to use the center cap cover as that's what compomotive original design.

I m looking for TS-18 for Testarossa, found this wheels but looks funny to me as there is no center cap cover ( no center cap cover hole too).
If without the center cap cover , I don't mind to use a aftermarket center cap as per a few pics posted here but I think with around 2 inches diameter will look neat . But if u see the wheel pic I posted , the diameter for the aftermarket center cap is almost 3 inches very wide and may not looks neat. I may have to end up using the cap like this , which I think doesn't look that good.

I think if you like the 18 inch wheels, get them. It should be very easy to find or make center caps. Even the one you pictured could be cut down and only stick out less than an inch. There are many center caps, but only one TS18 wheel.
