I have a four post lift that uses an air compressor to operate the lock releasers. This is the second compressor I've had that failed. Time for a change. These lifts don't need much air pressure to operate the locks, so the compressor needed is very inexpensive, you get what you pay for! I decided to use a different air source, but still used the old compressor minus the pump and electrics. The ram for the lift generates air pressure when the lift goes up and sends the air pressure back to the ATF tank. I disconnected the line from the ATF tank and connected it to the tank in the air compressor. The compressor has 2 gages, one for tank pressure and one for regulated air pressure. I removed the regulated air pressure gage and put it near the lock release valve. Now, when the lift goes up the tank fills with air. I did not list all the details, but you get the picture.
