I like to clear my history really frequently, basically because I find having lots of addresses in the address bar annoying.
Anyway, I've cleared my history, deleted temporary internet files, but this one address won't go away. It's an http://ww3. address, and whenever I go to type an address up there, as soon as I hit the first "w", this http://ww3. address pops up underneath as one of the possible sites for me to go to. I generally hate those suggestions though sometimes find them useful but I certinaly want to get rid of this one. Don't know why clearing history doesn't work, as it does for all the others - i'm assuming it's cause of the weird ww3 address, which I admittedly have no idea about.
    Thanks in advance

    Pictorial Guide to basics:
    1st Click Tools > {i]Internet Options[/i]

    You'll get a Pop-Up:
    Clear History
    Delete Cookies
    Delete Files

(I do them in that order - expect File deletion to take longest)

    Click OK
    close browser
    reopen browser

If that doesn't frost your cookies and zap files, hop over to:
    Download, install, update, run Adaware
Download, install, update, run Spybot Search and Destroy

You may be content with Internet Explorer, but I believe you'll be overjoyed with Opera Browser

    It rocks

    Opera costs money doesn't it?

Firefox is the way to go, or just stick with IE and disable ActiveX

you are always able to start typing that "ww" and it will bring up a list of entries you already have enter from some other time. Just highlight the entry (while it is still in the list ) and hit your delete button on the keyboard. This is another way to do this. The other way is to Tools> Internet Options>the clisck the Delete Files button and make sure you click delete offline content. That should also take care of it.

Opera is available free but it shows ads then.
