I just want to point out that I am not a computer expert, just a computer user who has some experience with spyware, adware and hijacks. I can advise you to disable System Restore first, and reboot in SAFE mode before letting Hijackthis do its work. See my earlier posts in this thread for instructions.
My solutions are cheaper and contribute more to this specific thread. And actually, Firefox is a problemfree (well, almost) solution to run windows and explore the internet without the spyware/malware/virus problems.
