    Hello fellow F-chatters!

I'm a student in Syracuse University, the Whitman School of Management, and I need some help from FC'ers to fill out a survey about a business concept that me and my group have been working on for our Senior Thesis project.

In a few sentences, I'm going to try to pitch our concept:

Our business concept is a service that prepares meals for our customers based on their personal, homemade recipes. Basically, our customers would send in their personal recipes, and our gourmet chefs would evaluate it (possibly make some suggestions on healthy alternatives), prepare the ingredients, and cook your recipe before our company sends it to your doorstep. We are marketing towards time-poor + high income individuals who want the pleasure of enjoying home-cooked foods, without having to stress about the labor involved in the preparation of their own meals. In addition, we also hope to market towards those who want to give their prepared meals to others as a gift.

What do you guys think? Feasible or not? Any feedback would help!

and here is the link to the survey: https://whitman.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_ewBlAbHBs5b0sEk

it would help a bunch if I could get a few people to fill it out. Thank you!

    Done.

No "personal" or "contact" info required, folks.

This straightforward marketing/demographics survey takes 3 minutes.

I responded. I just want to say that the nutritional consultation idea is a pretty interesting one. I can't imagine that many people that have their own personal recipes, would pay someone else to make it for them. Just my opinion though.

Responded. You are on to something but I think most people want to choose from pre existing menus and be sort of told what's healthy as opposed to providing their own recipes. Most people don't cook for real hence no recipes.

Not sure how the logistics of preparing a single meal for each single individual (own recipe) allows for a cost effective business model.

I agree, the typical "deliver meals to your home" business has the benefit of preparing in quantity. Making each individual meal would cost a fortune. Besides, I think having something that a "Chef" makes sounds better then peoples own recipes. Not to be too negative. It is an interesting niche, but would require a certain client (with lots of money). It would also require that the food taste better then when made by the buyer.
