CONCORSO FERRARI 2008 IN OLD PASADENA

VINTAGE TO CONTEMPORARY FERRARIS ON DISPLAY

Old Pasadena, Calif., (April 2008)—Colorado Boulevard will pulse with excitement when $50 to 100 million dollars of the finest vintage and contemporary Ferraris are on display on Sunday, May 18, 2008.

Ferraris will arrive from near and far early Sunday morning, May 18, 2008 to be positioned along Colorado Boulevard between Fair Oaks and Pasadena Avenue. Join us for the day by strolling along the flanks of Colorado to admire the cars, meet the car owners, and listen to on-site interviews. At 2pm, awards will be presented in 10 classes by a panel of 30 Ferrari experts.

The event will be free to the public with opening ceremonies to begin at 10 am and will continue until 3pm. The Ferrari Club of America Southwest region will be selling Ferrari Club memorabilia. Merchants on the boulevard will be open regular business hours to accommodate public shopping and dining. The event will strike between 3 and 6 pm and then once again Colorado Boulevard from Fair Oaks to Pasadena Ave will reopen to regular vehicular traffic at 6pm.

Concorso Ferrari 2008 in Old Pasadena is a free event to the public and sponsored primarily by the Ferrari Club of America- Southwest Region and the Auto Gallery. Additional sponsors include Putnam Leasing, Le bijou Jewelers, and Ultimate Toys. This event has also been made possible through the support of the City of Pasadena, Old Pasadena Management, and Pasadena Conventions & Visitors Bureau.

Just to clarify, althought attending the event is free to the public, in order to show your car for judging, you must be a member of FCA and register your car for the show through FCA.

Stickyone, you can go to southwestern chapter of Ferrari club of America. There is a registration form for entry and details of the event. Only 1990 and older models will be judged. However more recent ferrari will be on display as well albiet the space is limited. It sure is going to be a great event and the place is perfect for a good family outing. Some very good restaurants and cafes on and around Colorado Blvd will make for a perfect coffee and lunch place. A large turn out is expected. I am sure you will enjoy if you show up. Adil.

Just a reminder so people are not confused, there is also the LA Concours at the Pasadena Rose Bowl on June 1, 2008. Also a juried show, but will be for all models.
    Check it out: www. LAConcours.com.

Not sure it will be possible. The event is from 10-3. If the group leaves L.V. around 9, it would be about a 1:00 arrival and I don't know if there would be parking available. I'm willing to and probably will leave earlier, I just need to know if there will be parking. :)

The FCA rep at Cars and Coffee today mentioned that there are still plenty of spots open to anyone wanting to show their cars. Looks like this might be a great new event on the calendar with a truly appreciative crowd and a beautiful setting. Get in touch with them ASAP if you are interested.

Tip: a decent place to park is at the Parson's public lot on Union Street (one block north of Colorado Blvd.), two blocks west of Fair Oaks Avenue. Not as many people know about it.

It's a pre-pay lot, so be sure to pay at the kiosk before trying to exit!
