Thanks. Corrected. Again. Desert Concours - Home of the Desert Classic Concours d?Elegance see you there in Feb., probably 23rd -- though there's a Tour and other activities before.
Going out Mar 29th in the afternoon. If you guys are going to get together, let me know and we (Kathleen and I) will try to hook up if traffic is not too bad. Looking forward to seeing some of the old faces again.
Is anyone leaving Fri 28 afternoon? If so I'm happy to caravan Friday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Most of the faces will be new to me but I'm driving down Saturday afternoon sometime from Sherman Oaks. I can meet up alngthe 10 freeway somewhere.
Also leaving on Saturday. Thinking around 1pm? I'm in the Hollywood Hils/Los Feliz area... We could definitely meet up.
Got mine as well...looking forward to it. Is there an itinerary for Saturday? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Got mine as well. I for one can not wait. They've announced the below as well. Some of my favorite cars will be there! "There also will be classes for purpose-built racing cars, early BMW racers, DeLoreans, and a group of Renault 5 Turbos."
I'll be there. Should be a good event, but I hope the $70 spectator fee doesn't hurt the turnout. I ran into Frank Mandarano and his wife in a coffee shop and he made me promise to be there! I put him in touch with Bill Krause (Maserati Birdcage and Cobra) who will now an honorary judge. It's coming together. I will be there starting Thursday?. Food for thought.....I have a condo with a gigantic clubhouse on Country Club Dr. between Portola and Monterey, just down the street from the Marriott. We could have anything from Friday/Sat cocktails poolside, cocktails inside the dining room, dinner, lunch? We could have a Saturday day/afternoon Bocce ball tournament, nine hole putting green tournament (think miniature golf). Or just meet for cocktails at my place...I'm open for anything. Just a heads up....with snow birds around this time of year, the restaurants start filling up on weekends at 4:30 -5:00PM.
I'm open to anything that sounds like a fun get together. If TrojanFan can bring some of those "Sexy in High Heels" hotties, we could even have a great pool party Saturday!
Unfortunately not a chance. I'll either have my wife or my 6 year old with me. For everyone here, need to keep my posts "confidential". No need for extra abuse from the wife.
Anyone going to the Melissa Morgan gallery dinner sat evening? http://us2.campaign-archive1.com/?u=8ecdd01f206b0735981d574f1&id=34765d0cc0&e=4426c2ee2f Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hahah....in college I was dubbed "club king" But now, bringing my pregnant wife, our social lifestyle has tapered a bit. Just seeing what everyone was doing saturday all day....
FYI---Had coffee yesterday morning in Palm Desert with Frank Mandarano. He said the art gallery (Melissa Miller) is the place to be Saturday evening as it will be a nice affair. If you plan on having dinner in town later, having a reservation is a very good idea. My favorites.... Italian: Il Corso, Mama Gina, La Spiga Sushi: Mitch's Mexican: Armando's French: Cuistot Seafood/Steak: Firecliff, Sullivan's, Mastro's, Morton's, Ruth Chris, Flemings Word to the wise....be careful where you park your car on El Paseo unless you want an Alberta, Washington or Illiniois license plate stamped on your hood. People back up until they hit your car, go forward until they hit that car, then back up an inch and they are good to go....
