Seven Dinos at the event, including the burried and " dug up" Dino. I talked to the owner for a while...original owner since the discovery...I asked him to come on f chat . Will try and post fotos...having some trouble...
This such an interestin car because of it's history, I wish the owner would post or sit down with some one and tell the story..... We all want to know more about it.
Here's one version, complete with pictures. 'minor glitch for some of us...who don't speak French! If you read between the lines and max out Babel Fish, you can probably get the gist of the story. http://www.gatsbyonline.com/main.aspx?page=text&id=966&cat=auto Enjoy the tale, Coop Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
WOW. The car looks pretty great now. Is it an original C&F? Please, someone here must be able to translate the story for us!
All, I forgot to credit Sal for his color photo of that infamous Dino. I 'borrowed' it from his thread "concorso pasadena ca 5-6-12 pictures." If you haven't been there yet, check out his other pictures. The b&w shots are from the Gatsby article. Sal, I apologize...and thank you...for the unsolicited 'loan.' The contrast of your picture and the two that were from Gatsby was stark, to say the least. Cheers, Coop
Sal - Is that the original color? It looks pretty glorious to me, especially given that I haven't been struck by many of the other green Dino colors. Anyone know the official color and color code? Mark
