Concours is right around the corner, so looking for way to help score. Obviously start with low hanging fruit. The judges found some picky things, but not unwarranted and just like basketball, the ref's make the calls.

They were not too fond of the MSD. Big silent box that's the wrong color. Nope! Even though it relatively hidden, it's something judges look / listen for.

The floor mats are not-original. This sounds too easy? I'll just remove them for judging and leave the definitely original carpet. I'm not sure what "original" boxer mats look like? Are they the same as carpet with drivers side heel pad etc? From another post: Floor carpet set Ferrari 512/365 BB '73-'85 - Lakewell But not the secondary top cover I think they are referring.

The glovebox emblem is scratched. It just crossed over the fence from "patina" . This gets replaced.

Here's a weird one....FPN 50150408, the engine hood safety latch. The paint has come off the square release button that has the circular "PUSH - PUSH" cast into it. Latch is NLA, so trying to replicate the finish. Powdercoat maybe? Looks to be a Zn/Al alloy. I don't think anodize is right for this alloy. Casidium / DLC would be the best, but a bit overkill. I tried to brush in a little lo-gloss black. Looked fair - for about a month.

    Thanks for any input.
