This years Concourse Italiano will be Sat. Sept. 19. Last year had a very good turnout. Here is the letter I received: Here are pictures & info from last year http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/1121/318086.html http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/1121/316777.html
thanks for the heads-up, zan. fyi/fwiw - that's also the scheduled date for an FCA event at Myopia Polo in Hamilton MA. according to those posts you posted, it conflicted last year too - two for two! doody.
NOTE: September 19 is on a Sunday, not a Saturday. I went to this event last year, just before I purchased my car, it was a great time. I cant wait to go this year, as a participant rather than just a spectator.
HAHA, now that I look at where its held I find that I live about 5 minutes from there. Are you guys planning on going on a drive afterwards?
I would love to go for a drive afterwards. Anytime you have a gathering of that many beautiful cars, how could you not get some of them together for a drive. Sounds like a great idea.. Alex
Here are some pictures I took at last years show. F Chat member MadHatter's TR is in one of the photos, parked beside a super clean red 512TR Are any F Chat members meeting at this years event? If things go reasonably(exceptionally?) well, John Wise & I will be dropping his engine back into his 308 that weekend, so won't be able to make it.
I Emailed the organizers for registration info but haven't heard back. Is this a "show up and be included" show or is preregistration necessary?
here's what they snailmailed out: FROM 128 Follow route 128 to Great Plain Ave. (exit 18). Exit and follow the signs to West Roxbury. Follow that road as it curves to hte left (see St. Susanna's church on the right) to intersection with route 109. Take a left on route 109 (Irish Ale House on right), take a left at the next traffic light. Follow to your fifth traffic light, take a left on Independence Drive. Follow to Harvard Vanguard, 291 Independence Drive. FROM DOWNTOWN Take Huntington Ave. west and then pass under and turn right onto the Jamaica Way. Follow by Jamaica Pond to rotary; follow Rte. 1 through rotary, up hill (see Faulkner Hospital on right). Follow to VFW Parkway, take a right onto the parkway. Look for Indpendence Drive (3-5) miles on the right. Turn right onto Independence Drive and follow to Harvard Vanguard, 291 Independence Drive. and no, i don't know what that "(3-5)" miles thing really means either but we can assume they meant "3-5 miles" or put it as a placeholder until someone got the right number - whatever. doody.
DARN! And here i am in Milan right now. Oh, wait, what i am saying... Maranello is a short drive away Have a great show cool dudes.
There's a 50/50 chance that Ivan may shut down the Auburn/LSU game this weekend, and if that happens before I fly out tomorrow I may make it as well. TWS
Actually, the "F512M" in my screen name is a nod to a very close and beloved relative who owned a spectacular F512M until his passing a year and a half ago. He was fairly active in the FCA-AZ chapter and was an eccentric character and dedicated tifosi. I'll be coming as a spectator...sorry if my screen name and post mislead you. Hopefully the weather holds up for the weekend. How many cars are expected? Doody--thanks for the directions.
