I just returned from the weekend - now I believe it is also called the week as it has grown to be the better part of the week. The Concourso was fantastic. I understand there were over 1000 exotics/sports cars but who was counting? It was more than enough to overload your senses. Ferrari was well represented with a surprising number of 430s, a couple of Superamericas, and a ton of 360s and 308's. No Enzo's, but there was one in the auction tent and another showed up over at Laguna Seca - in the pits - not racing. Traffic was no problem. I left the Holiday Inn in Marina at 8AM sharp and entered the Concourso at 8:25. Even though it didn't officially start until 9:30, 90% of the venders and exhibitors were set up by this time.

The scene in Carmel was pretty typical for the weekend - exotics everywhere, crusing around, parked on the street and in parking lots. Carmel was especially a madhouse on Thursday AM with the parade and the exhibition.

A relatively new event (to me at least) was the Ferrari exhibit at Kakhis (sp?) on Saturday evening after Laguna Seca. There was a nice showing of Ferrari's (probably about 60) that was free to the public in the parking lot.

I can't wait until the nextime I have an opportunity to attend!!!!

I agree with Scorpion, this was my first trip to the concours and I had a great time. No real traffic issues at Blackhorse or Laguna Seca. I will absolutely be back next year.

I was at Concorso last year. Traffic and parking were bad.

This year, we had not trouble getting parked. Even at around 10 am.
We left around 3 pm and had zero problems getting back on the freeway.

I think they have the problem solved.

Enjoyed the show and will be back next year.

I think there were less people this year, which would also help with the traffic. Everyone stayed away to see if the traffic problem was solved. They'll all be back next year, and so will the traffic! :)

I had a nice time again this year. Alway cool to see what interesting stuff shows up.

Good to hear that the logistics have been sorted. I flew up and back for the Concours on Sunday (see the classics section for my Ferrari pix) and got to hook up with our very own Napolis showing his magnificent 1931 Duesenberg. Now that I've done the Pebble Beach Concours, next year I am driving up with the SoCal crew for the Concorso. Driving my rental Taurus and seeing some wonderful machinery on the road I was gagging for my 348!!!

Put me and the Mrs. on the list for the F-chat feed for next year - we will absolutely be there.

    Cheers
    Kevin

PS here's the one pic I managed to snap of a vintage Ferrari on the road - saw several others on Sunday including a 330GTS licence "4RE GTC" and a gorgeous silver Lusso....
