I'm SURE Phil has an F-car, is an avid F-chatter and RUSHED onto his jet (with the wireless high speed connection) and reads it here first!!! I know I would!!! Great win to a great tournament!! DL
LOL I didn't think it would happen for him this time but it has never been more pleasurable to be wrong. It was wonderful to see him win. He needed the green jacket and I think it will free some personal demons for him. With the weight of that off his back I think he will continue to improve what is allready a fantastic game. Congrats Phil, and to your family as well.
yes - congrats! I thought it was going to happen again - like the last 3 years and all the other times when I saw his face coming down the stretch. He looked like he was completely lost in the moment. I figured he had no chance. Way to prove me wrong!
That was the most exciting Masters since at least 1986. Phil certainly played a phenomenal back nine and totally deserved to win. He changed my perception abowt him - I have always thought that he had immenqe talent but could not close the big ones. It certainly could lift his game to a new level as he now knows how to win a major. He won this tournament plain and simple - no one gave it to him. Ernie Else played a remarkable round. I am looking forsard to the US open at Shinnecock.
He paid much due to win majors, and I am really glad he finally won after, what 43 times? His wife is very beatiful, and I talked to her few times at Byron Nelson in the past. She was very nice. So I have been rooting for Mickelson for while. He changed his style of play by committing more to accuracy under 150 yards, instead of killing for distance at a tee-off. This is working great for him (according to newspaper article) Of course, I don't notice the difference, but he hasn't been choking like he used. This year could be Phil's year, and I sure don't mind different faces winning majors. It's just so hard to keep winning nowadays in PGA.
Yeah - can't say under what nick though, otherwise... I'll have to kill you. Way to go! Secret's safe with me...
And a leftie, to boot!! We southpaws have to stick together, now if I could just break 90....hmmm.... Well, congrats to a guy who deserves a great win. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I was expecting a playoff to decide the true champion because Ernie played better in the final round...Anyone think phil couldnt have made the putt if it wasnt for Dimarco?
Come on, Doc - we need a book report, book report, book report, book report, book report, book report, book report, book report, book report, book report...
Tournaments are played over 4 rounds not one. Ernie got a huge break the day before on 11 - did you see his drop. So I respectfully disagree. And BTW I am originally from South Africa and a big Ernie Els fan.. Phil deserved this one. He birdied 12,13, 14, 16 and 18 to win by one..
