    I am considering buying either a Testarossa, TR512 or a 1995 Diablo.
What I would like to know is which of the years are the better cars in the TR's ?
This will be a daily driver.
Currently own an original 1980 DeTomaso Pantera GT5 which is my daily driver. Brought it from Italy 4 years ago. Time for something different.
    Would appreciate any advise.
    Thanks.
    Coz.

512TR, many benifits. I'm not at all biased.

I had a similar situation a few months back, only that I didn't intend to use the car daily...ha ha.

In the end I would say the 512TR is a better car overall. Easier to live with (less blind spot), not too difficult to manouver around town, all the controls aren't too heavy. And I personally think it's better built.

I heard that a better Diablo is '94 and up, while I believe that the 512TR would be more consistance quality-wise.

I have absolutely no experience in either car so all I can really do is add my 2 cents. The Diablo to me would seem a bit more exclusive. However the Diablo's still sell for rediculous ammounts IMO, where the 512TR seems alittle bit more plausable to get a hold of. As stated, I'd imagine the Ferrari would be alittle bit more trust worthy mechanically, than the Diablo... But then again all I can do is base my opinion upon hearsay.

I have an 86 Countach 5000QV & a 93 512TR. I would highly suggest the 512TR bcus its reliable, tough,& its actually a nice daily driver. The paper cutter doors are cool looking but they would be a pain to get in & out of every day

I drive a 512TR here in the UK. The Diablo is an awesome car, possibly better looking than the 512TR but I prefer the 512. Im not biased because I have test driven an early Diablo with spoiler. The back end of the Diablo tends to slide fairly easy round corners, but a 512TR sticks like glue (it's incredible) and this is the reason I would never swap this Ferrari for any other car in the world. Not just that but if I did trade up to Lamborghini I would miss the traditional aluminium gear lever/knob that Ferrari's have (amongst other things).

I have heard 1995 Diablos are not very good daily drivers so i would o with the TR. The Diablo is tempting but not for a daily driver, no.

Talk to AJ (6.0 se), he has owned several Diablo's and would be able to answer ANY question you throw at him. He is not a biased Lambo guy either, he has also owned several Ferrari's, including an F40!

For choices available, I would say 512TR.

I love Diablo, but Lambo salesmen & some Lambo people told me that if I are to buy Diablo, buy after '97 models as they are more sophisticated & reliable.

Are prices comparable for these 3 choices??

Diablo would be my choice. Post 95's are more reliable, but overall they are lower maintenance, don't require belt changes.

1995 onwards best for the Diablo, especially after 1994. Bif chnages made in 1994.

The 512TR is a better car then the TR. 1994 onwards 512TR is the best.

Both the 512TR and Diablo 95 are great cars. A hard decision. I voted for the Diablo only becuase they are less about and rare to see. Love the 512TR though...

The servicing on diablo cheaper , no engine out. Chain driven not belts like the Ferrari
