Ferrari is down by 9 points in the WCC. If they were to finish 1-2, and Renault were to finish 3-4, Ferrari would still lose by 2 points. Basically we need Renault to drop the ball.

If Ferrari finishes 1-2, Renault cannot score more than 9 points. A tie goes to Ferrari; they have more second place finishes...

Renault has 195 to Ferrari's 186....that's a 9 point difference. If Ferrari finishes 1-2 they will be awarded 18 (10+8) points. If Renault finished 3-4 they will receive 11 (6+5) points. This would put the point totals at 204 for Ferrari and 206 for Renault.

So what we need is a Ferrari 1-2, Kimi (or anyone else, but it would be fitting for Kimi) 3 and Renault 4 - 5. This would give Ferrari 18 and Renault 9 resulting in a tie and since they teams are tied on wins now, the win in Brazil will give it to Ferrari.

Also it could go 1-2 Ferrari 3 - 6 or worse Renault.

Has Massa been faster than Alonso? A finishing order of MS - FA - FM - GF is much more likely.

On german TV, they just announced that Ferrari has given a complete 248F1 car to Michael as a present. Same for Massa, but only if they win the constructor championship. Nice present.

Is the present to MS also dependent on whether they win the CC or just for Massa?

I believe it's in MS's contract he gets one of the cars after each season. I could be wrong though.

This may be OT, but what happens to all of the cars after the races? Do they go to the museum, or given/sold to sponsors?

Luca di Montezemolo needs to pay off Renault's right rear wheel mechanic to do another "Hungarian Special"...

lots of the teams, including ferrari, sell the cars to the public...obviously you can't just be any joe shmoe however...

if i had a couple of million bucks laying around, i'd get myself an 03 or 04 ferrari, and that would be the ultimate track day car....show up to an event with that baby and woooohooo...word is, the teams maintain the cars for you as well...

Only the present for Massa is dependent of winning the cc.
