Continental Motors Shows this Saturday

I will probably stop by. We received a Card in the Mail from them a few weeks ago...Not sure what time I will go...but not too early. Hey,anyone want to go for a spin afterwards? The Weather is supposed to be nice this weekend....

BTW....I was out for a Drive,in the Ferrari ofcourse,last night. And I cruised by there. (It's about 5 min. away from my house). Anyway,the New Addition has come along very nicely. It looks like it is almost done. The structure is all there and complete. I could see the Dryway Tape,Etc...from the Road,so,it looks like it will be all done somewhat soon. It's going to look great.

the art and literature show is from 10:00am till 4:00pm (store hours) i went there two years ago (last years was cancelled due to construction of the maserati showroom) the parking lot next to continential had more ferrari's parked in it than continental actually had for sale. everything from 328's to f40's were there. it's a neat event and i'll be there with my porsche.

i live in rockford, illinois. so hinsdale is a bit out off my radar screen. i could have sworn that i saw something on their websight last year that it was cancelled due to their construction, but i could have been wrong.

No,not cancelled this Year. We received a Postcard from them several weeks ago about this.

The new addition looks to be,basically,complete,other than finishing touches. My early Years in the Trades tell me that once the Drywall is all up and Taped,all that is left is Primer and Paint. That could be done very quickly. So,who knows. I will be surprised if it had been done since when I drove by earlier in the week. But certainly possible.


Daytona Rick! What time are you going? Let me know,and I'll definitely bring that Mario Andretti Picture for you.

 

Your thinking of the party they were going to have at the opening of thier new addition, yes, that was poseponed until they finish it. This show is just a bunch of suppliers of clothing...books....tubis....models....etc.... This is different than what your thinking. This is just a simple get together they have every spring that they set up in the service department...

 

Yeah,they also had a "Spring Open House". I was talking to Keith at the Auto Show,and they may have something when the New Addition is all done.

BTW....Rockford isn't all that far. I took my Son out to Byron Dragway,(10 Miles South of Cheap Tricks Hometown, Rick Nielsen,the wacky Guitarist was there as part owner of a Dual Hemi Engined,Blown Dragster....) We went last Fall for the World Wheel Standing Championships,(No Ferrari's participated,but,I drove mine out there....no traffic,all clear,if you get my drift.... and we made it in record time.... Blew out every micron of Carbon that may have been in my Engine.... ) We will DEFINITELY be out there more this Season....
