    1999, 36k miles. Everything was oem in the front suspension and I found this while doing my Centerlock conversion.

    Looking at photos of a new part it looks like the wall thickness was made thicker in this part on the current production run.

    That's an early 360 arm. There was an upgrade later in the production run.

    FYI The F430 arms were all forged instead of cast, and in 2008 the upper front went to the 599/Challenge type. These will fit a 360.

    Did you sand/grind the surface about a half inch to each side of the crack? That and the lump hanging off the edge at the bottom of the image has me wondering if the part had a prior crack that was welded and ground smooth at some point.

    how can you tell the difference? I thought 360/430 are all the same

    All the arms are machined like that for clearance to the chassis.

    Any chance the bush is corroding in the alloy and you are getting the arm stressed from the inside.
    Push the bush out and see what you find

    This same issue has happened on 02 thru 06 maserati coupe/spyder and Gransports
