I'm replacing the clutch and throw out bearing (new one is Hill Eng) on my converted manual 2007 F430.

As this was an F1 car originally, it has the F1 position sensor (now removed) on the TOB, along with the pin that holds the magnet in the guide for the sensor and the 2 end-of-stroke pins that secure the mounting flange (along with two bolts) for the TOB to the transmission case.

The workshop manual and the online parts diagrams for the OEM manual cars show that 1) the pin that holds the magnet is replaced with a simple spring pin (14604170) and 2) the end-of-stroke pins are replaced with two simple bolts (for a total of four).

Is there any reason/benefit, for or against, to keep the F1 parts and not change these to what the OEM manual cars use? My assumption, which may well be incorrect, is that not changing these parts during the conversion was simply a labor and parts saving exercise.

    Thoughts?
