Let's just say Chris is right on the money. A very beautiful look to an already incredible Ferrari. Nothing like the wind in your hair and an Enzo to boot.

Many of us have seen this car and it is beautiful...and he did buy a second set of doors for the conversion (a small fortune) and trades them out.

that pic a few posts back is kind of confusing. that looks like a full convertible, whereas the one at the other site looks more like a targa. everyone on this forum seemed to agree that this enzo has a t-top configuration, and no other modifications (or so it seems). also, the car in the picture there does not have the small sticker shown on the rear flank in the picture on the luxury collections site. i dont know, it just looks weird though.

ccr... wld you be kind enough to explain the hinge action on the converted doors? Im most curious to know if they still swing up, or out like a conventional car door.

From the additional pix Ive seen, looks like the upper hinge pivot was eliminated.

    Thanks!

The conversion was done by removing the doors and purchasing a second set to be chopped! Only the roof section of the doors were chopped! Leaving a “T-Top” look. The conversion was slick! Considering nothing else was modified but the extra set of doors I was very impressed.

    Down side to the conversion…

    No window or roof panel

Doors were difficult to close due to missing roof section and hinge. Making it extremely difficult to close the door from the inside of the car. I believe he added weight to the doors in order to close them properly.

Messy hair. With 200 mph winds it was impossible to keep the locks straight!

Garbage receptacle. Parking in public was a hassle! Candy wrappers and condoms were routinely tossed into the car!

    Upside to the conversion…

All garbage was sucked from the cockpit as soon as the car hit 150mph.

Room for a helmet making it comfortable to track!

You can pull a Burt Reynolds jumping into the drivers seat directly through the open top.

Now its easier to distract perusing cops by tossing bundles of C-notes from the open top.

Burger King drive through is much easier now!

Optional passenger ejection seat is operational.

So I can see the benefits for having such a conversion... I just think it would look better in BLACK!!! (YOU LISTENING MR "B" MAN!!!???? I KNOW YOUR READING THIS!!! )

This thread has always read like a big joke to me. I highly doubt the claims made in this thread of a conversion with a second set of doors are true. I won't believe them until someone produces 2 more photos from different angles - preferrably a close up of the hinge area, or the door open.

There are 3 photos of this conversion up close in the Rossa forum.. It's very real, and looks exactly like you'd expect it to.

I like Ferraris as much as the next guy, but I believe message boards should be supported financially by advertisers/sponsors, and free to their members.

My .02¢ of course. If you want to give Rob your money, feel free.

Not a particular fan of the idea... apart from that it seems to look wrong chopping just the doors. Feel it would look much better if the middle section would be gone (yes yes, I know that would be a far more complicated job, etc etc).
