Has anyone here actually modified a 430 exhaust to fit their 360? There seems to be some conflicting information out there on how it's done.

I've used the search function and found this article which makes it look like a pretty straightforward job:
    https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/ever-heard-a-360-modena-with-f430-exhaust-system.210496/

But then there's the Aldous Voice article which seems much more involved and mentions having to buy Stradale mounting brackets:
    https://aldousvoice.com/2012/11/16/converting-a-ferrari-f430-exhaust-to-fit-a-360/

Has anyone here actually done this and can clear up exactly what's involved. I'll be doing this at a friend's shop and can't afford to have the car tied up while we try and figure it out. Would need to get it in and out.

    Thanks in advance.

Problem with this is that they tend to be expensive due to being the challenge stradale exhaust. So its worth modifying the 430 tips, its not difficult just mostly time consuming.

Nice! I was struggling when I did the 430 exhaust mod.

Do you remember how much you cut off each side of the 430 pipes?

    Thanks,

    Scott

Watching with great interest. I have the 430 muffler, but haven't started the project yet. I've never (in person) heard a 430 muffler on the 360 - maybe if I had I would get on it sooner. Are you changing out the cats or headers? Due to the California smog laws I will probably not be changing any other exhaust components. Please share pictures as you proceed.

I already have Fabspeed headers and sport cats installed. I will keep the thread updated!

I did it 4 years ago on my 360. The sound was amazing. I bought end tips which looked almost the same as the Challenge Stradale exhaust. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Nice work - that is looking very professional! Are those the tips that you will be using or will you try to find some tips that were rolled outward similar to the original CS exhaust? Please keep the pictures coming!

Watching this with interest too as wouldn't mind doing a similar job to replace the tubi fitted to my incoming 360...

I am going to see how these look on the car first. If I’m not happy with the look, the CS tips will be done in the future. I think these are going to look good. I have not seen many OE F430 exhausts with these tips.

We are getting close! Some minor tweaks after the test fit. Hopefully another week or so and it will be done.
