My wife loves nice cookware, but it is all a bit pricey for the young folk. I bought her a set of Cuisinart pots & pans, but want to pick up some more pieces. Anyone know of some great (non-Teflon) cookware that can be had at a reasonable price. And if you do suggest ebay, please suggest a good seller.

    Thanks,
    - Chris

I usually buy my mom cookware from Habitat. It's been a while since I've been in there though.

If you bite the bullet and buy a set of very high-end pots and pans, you will have great cookware for many years to come. My thoughts on knives: Go the low-end for most of the knives you will use, but buy one or two expensive ones that you will use a lot. My GF is a chef and her knife collection alone is worth about $4K! Prices do get stupid in the kitchen!

Really depends on what/how you want to cook, but here are some suggestions:

Get the largest All-Clad stockpot you think you would ever use or can afford.

Pick up a nice big cast iron fry pan & season it properly (Lodge is nice, but brand isn't essential - heft is). Better yet -pick up 2 so you can heat both up, then flip one over to sear something in between the pair - think panini or grilled cheese at medium temps & steak at white hot temps :)

An All-Clad sautee pan is nice for its purpose & for reducing sauces.

Le Creueset enamaled cast iron cookware is GREAT & can be had on the cheap if you buy used.

All the above get heavy use in our kitchen.

Isn't it funny that even if you cook every night (and have 50 knives) you use the same single knife all the time? At least I do.

Im not opposed to cooking.. Im actually pretty good at it. What I cant figure out, men, is why we are talking about cookware on a Ferrari forum.

Id hate to see what would happen if Al Bundy were reading this thread. Its like the old NFL ads with Warren Sapp in an apron baking a cake.

    It's just not right!

Had to edit this: DON'T GIVE THOSE LAMBO FORUM GUYS ANY MORE AMMO!!!!!!!!!

From personal experience, cooking can get a girl in bed faster than almost anything. You'd be very surprised how woman love a man that can cook a high end meal. Im not saying be their slave, but its what I use on a first date most of the time, and believe me, women get nice and moist if you can wow them with a nice meal you actually cooked yourself. Hell I was high bid at a date auction because all the women that were bidding on my knew I could cook extremely well.

You are right. What guy enjoys it when his wife offers to cook him a great dinner? What guy would possibly want to make her time spent cooking more enjoyable and easier to do, so that this happened more often?

My wife is a fabulous cook. My wife always makes me dinner/lunch/breakfast even when i tell her not to. Thats a whole different conversation deserving a different thread.

What im saying is why are we talking about COOKWARE?!?!?!

Im all for a thread, "How to get women into bed" or "Most Pampering Wife/GF" but "Cookware" ???? Come on, man!

For what its worth-- The Ferrari should get the girl into your house. You dont need to cook for her to get her into bed, man.

Ok Mr. Lamour --This thread has the potential to be interesting for you. Back me up!
