ALL wood speedboats are Chris Crafts! And all single engine highwing small aircraft are Cessnas! Not actually true for either of course...... The photo was a header shot on Woody Boater 2 or 3 years ago, headlining a story on a classic boat show in Minn. The boat is a late '60's Riva Super Florida, 19 ft, with a -wait for it - Chris Craft-derived GM V-8..... Never owned a Cessna (let alone a Beech -18) but I know Rivas inside out.
I helped to crew two of these in 1944 at Hondo Air base. They were AT-7 navigation trainers then. Hundreds of them on the field. Lot of dark and cold mornings for 0430 runup. Had a lot of flights in them over "Hill Country".
Bob- KC-10 looked pretty when it was delivering us and our airplanes (aerial refueling) and maintenance crews to Saudi Arabia in August 1991. Could not do that in a KC-135.
Good old Wolf Pack. Seems funny to have a AIM-120s on the wing-tips and AIM-9s on pylons since the AIM-120 weighs nearly twice as much.
