I've been hooked on this British show for a week now been watching as many episodes as I can. These two guys buy and restore classic cars. Haven't been able to find the episodes anywhere but youtube.

    Enjoy

    cringe worthy show.

Mike Brewer is probably the most annoying man on TV. I read on pistonheads, where some people have met him before (whether buying a car or just met him on a carshow or something) he is as annoying in real life too.

He never calculated the time it cost to restore either, and even then he turns a crappy profit. I mean, the mechanic guy spends countless hours on those cars, and for turning something like a £500 profit. If you take that he spend maybe 80 hours restoring the car (which is very little) he's better off finding another job! Not to mention buying all the tools, car lift yadda yadda....

Sorry, I don't like it as you can probably tell by now :D.

This show has been around for years. I think it's pretty funny when they decide to restore a car using spray paint cans!

If it were done in LA, they would have to do this show in Spanish.

I have seen most of the episodes which are now in re-runs on HDNet. I agree that Mike is annoying. I watch it to see what Ed does to transform these POS cars Mike brings to him with the little money he has to use.

They aren't trying hard to turn a profit on the cars. I think the money is in the sale of the show.

I take it with a grain of salt, and fast forward when Mike is talking. It's not too bad then. I also use it to teach my boys some auto diagnostic skills.

i have to admit i love the show, brewer is a bit of a tosser but its nice to see a brit working on some cool cars, the profit part of the show is total bs but its entertaining and it makes a good change from the usual chip foose type car shows

I like the show, taking it for what it is: a bit of entertainment. I always wondered if the cars were pre-ordered and the 'dealer' part is just show? I mean, some of the decisions to 'improve' some of the cars are questionable (take for example the Fiat 500).

Watched it twice, one time when they resprayed a 944 with a can, and the second (and last time) when they bought a Bentley for 4000, put like 200 hours of work and another 3000 for a paint job in it, an then were amazed at the 8000 they could sell it for, "THE MOST MONEY WE EVER MADE WITH A CAR!!!!!". Totally ridiculous.

Pure fun, Mike Brewer is a genuine used car dealer, and appeared on a few shows around 10 years ago as an expert, and this show is one they tried to do to get his regular slot - see it for the fun aspect and dont get too involved - I seem to remember Mike was a presenter on a Channel 4 or Channel Five (UK) show with 2 others, which got cancelled due to low ratings as it was put against top gear.

I find him funny as he tries to be Arfur Daley and Del Boy all at once!

Downloaded a pair of episodes where they "restore" a 304 GT4. This should be good!

I never saw these episodes on US TV.

I've watched a few episodes because it usually precedes "Chasing Classic Cars" on HD Theater. I usually watch it for the Edd China part, the other guy is a used car salesman with all that entails.

I find it slightly entertaining when they restore an interesting car. The mechanic is certainly talented.
