I'm an 80s kid so I have a soft spot for these Koenig cars. The extra HP doesn't hurt, either. What do you guys think? Koenig Widebody Turbo: 1983 Ferrari 308 GTSi | Bring a Trailer
I own a 84 QV Koenig Turbo which was sold new with the conversion. They are a great setup and very quick under boost but suffer massive turbo lag. The water injection is a bit iffy and I removed it. I also changed and relocated the intercooler and fitted a BOV as the turbos of that era weren't design to cope with return pressure on a closed intake. Well worth the buy if the price is right as long as it has all the original conversion parts. My 2 Cents Steve
Yep it wasn't that efficient but it did work. I mounted mine so that I could direct air from the side intake to blow right through reducing heat soak. But with the koenig they fit an additional gauge to monitor the intake temperature so you know what temps your getting.
It does NOT remind me of a 288. More like the mustache on the Mona in my opinion, although that example is better looking than many. Still the 288 is way more beautiful to my eye.
