I like the Goodyear commercial with Enzo better!! Goodyear is #1 in Racing Goodyear is a Speedy308 Child Advocates Racing for Children Team sponsor.. Cool post though, Carby!
Pirelli has posters of that ad, and has given them away at FL FCA events. Looks good hanging in the garage.
Yup that is the one that is the Protoype F 40 they used for the shoot that is the same car pictured in my pic
Jim, the difference between the F40 in your photos and the one featured in the Pirelli ad is the recessed "F40" on the side of the wing... Yours has it, the ad does not... From what i understand, the very first F40 did NOT have the recessed "F40" logo on the side of the wing...
Of course, the car featured in the ad i posted has Pininfarina badges, whereas the first one did not, so i may need to retract my initial statement... (insert sheepish smile here)... Sorry...
Ooooh, trounced by trivia, once again... Nice call, Pat... i really need to open my mouth LESS and open my eyes MORE...
Someone mentioned that these posters were given away at FL FCA events. I just got back from Laguna Seca (and just joined FerrariChat) and at the FCA 2004 Mercato, these posters were given to anyone who wanted one. There was also a second poster with a 355, captioned: "More Dreams Ride on Pirelli than Any Other Tires in the World."
One of the garage I go to for my car to get service has that F40 Pirelli ad (big poster) right next to the cash. I always stare at that poster when I`m waiting for my car to be done.
I use to have that poster. The guy at the shop I use to go to all the time gave it to me. Never noticed about the 5 slots though. Cool taht they used a Prototype.
I have the 'first edition' of that poster, ordered it from Pirelli back in the late 80's. We noticed a few weeks ago that it was the 'prototype' car because of the 5 rear vents. If you look at the fine print at the bottom of the ad, it says "To order your own copy....."
