It has been a while for me, but I remember it taking more than 4 gallons.

    Here you go, Anastasio.

    http://www.ferraridatabase.com/The_Downloads/The%20Documents/Workshop%20Manual%20308GT4.pdf

You will find it on page A5 (18 litres/4.75 gallons of 50/50 mix). Remember to leave a bit of room in your expansion tank, and the 308 won't toss some coolant out on the garage floor like mine did a couple of nights ago ;)

thanks a million you guys, I thought I´d emptied the coolant, with the little valve in the botton of the radiator, and after nothing came out anymore, I could only put 2.3 gal in the whole system, and its not cooling very efficiently, so I guess there is A LOT more room for coolant, only problem is I´m bleeding the whole thing, and eventhough some tiny air comes out from the top of the radiator valve, then coolant, I did but a new thermostat cover, that HAS a bleed screw, since the original one doesn´t, so I´ll see if installing that it will make a difference.

    THANKS !!!

You're very welcome. I'm glad that it's helping. Good idea on the new thermostat housing. It's definitely a good thing to have bleed options at both ends of the car. I tend to get a good amount of air out of both. The presence of air will definitely start to heat things up.

    Another cool idea: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=203216
