Here is the backstory on these decals: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/repro-coolant-tank-decals-are-wrong-anyone-have-an-original.616078/#post-148327940 I recreated all of the detail from the original (one example being the umlauts and how they are slightly tilted). These decals are for cars with the thinner font and matte finish (mostly applied to '85-'97 cars). Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login $25 shipped (50 states) Thanks, Jeff
I would love to have a quality coolant tank sticker for the 360. I bought one on ebay (IIRC) and it did not hold up. It looked good but the adhesive on the back started to give it up.
In for one for my 308 GTSi. PM me and let me know how to pay. Much better than the Birdman set I was looking at. The font is wrong on the Birdman repro. Also can you make the high voltage stickers? http://www.birdman308.com/engine_stickers.htm
You are reading my mind. The print shop referenced my voltage label to source the material (color, adhesive and finish). It was damaged during that process so I will redo it too. The voltage decal will be a piece of cake compared to the work behind this decal. I am just relieved to be able to recreate the coolant decal. I have seen the others and was so disappointed. I will keep you posted.
I'm in. Sent you a PM. I've long thought there would be a nice business in accurate, high quality reproduction stickers. Hope this gets the ball rolling in that direction and that the ball rolls far.
I got decals out yesterday and more are heading out today. Thank you everyone! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Even the backing cards look amazing. Anyone buying a sticker here's a little tip... If you cut off the very, very edge of the corners just so they don't come to a sharp point it makes it look much more natural and look more like a 20+ year old sticker with a bit of age and patina then if they are sharply pointed making them look fresh out of the box i.e an obvious replacement. (it's an old car restorers tip)
So what is the actual correct factory placement for these? Looking through pictures, I see them in several spots on the coolant reservoir. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I see what you mean. I just checked and saw these decals are everywhere on late 308 tanks. Even up side down. The majority of the original condition cars seems to use the middle flat and aren't perfectly centered. Here's some examples: https://www.classicdriver.com/en/car/ferrari/308/1985/680313 https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1985-FERRARI-308-GTS-QUATROVALVE-TARGA-15800 Just to be totally sure I would post a poll in the 308 section and see what the group says.
Decal received. It looks just as good in person, was packaged nicely, and received promptly. Thanks Jeff!
I got mine quickly as well. Jeff was great to deal with and his attention to detail was excellent. Thanks for the help!
