Coolant temp sensor replacement

Good Morning, I was wondering if anybody had ever changed the coolant temp sender through the valley- oil filter side. It looks like if I remove the oil filter and throttle linkage it’s a straight shot with a wrench extension and deep well socket ( I hate disassembling more than is necessary). Also any tips from those that have replaced this? Thanks so much!... 83 euro QV

 

I found a torque value in the WSM (18lbs-USA only note?), but no guidance on thread sealant (pipe thread).....I want to be careful not to jeopardize it’s thread grounding ability.....wondering what others have done with success.....thx!
