    Hey! Wood-fired-pizza oven owners:


    I can't find many options and prices.

    Are these ovens mostly 3000-5000 pounds and $8000-$15,000 for home use?

    Seems a bit over the top.

    If you're not dead-set on the stone countertop, I had a buddy who had concrete countertops - super functional as you could take a pot off the stove and set it straight on the counter without worrying. They had it in some sort of decorative pattern, so wasn't industrial looking.

    A local guy was featured in our newspaper a few months ago. He built his own outdoor wood-fired oven and said that it wasn't too difficult. I'm sure it's a different ballgame once you bring it indoors, but I've seen plans for that as well. Bet you could find a hungry brick mason to put one in for a lot less than $8-15k.
