In your opinion, what is the coolest looking watch under $500? Whether you own it or not. Let's see what everyone thinks is cool! I love this Vestal Plexi Acetate minimalist Retail is $300 Image Unavailable, Please Login

Not a bad-looking watch for the money, but read the reviews here: http://www.amazon.com/Golana-Swiss-AE200-3-Quartz-Chronograph/dp/B001LK8LRW Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice looking watch! $153 for a Swiss Made watch? Great deal! Not sure I believe the reviews of 2 guys having the watch running slow (maybe a competitor). The movement looks to be a Rhonda, only Swatch group's ETA G10's run slow Buy one and switch the strap
A qtz piece can run slow usually due to a faulty circuit or coil. The watch actually stops and starts, which is usually referred to as 'running slow.' I see more G10 chrono's in for repair/replacement than any other chrono quartz caliber. If I were to choose between a G10 and a Miyota OS caliber, I would choose the OS, all day long.
Good timing on this thread as both my "real" watches have gone in for service and I was just told that I won't see them for 4-6 weeks (!). My old bullet-proof beater Luminox feels tiny on my wrist so I need something bigger and relatively inexpensive to tide me over. I went to Amazon to check out that Golana and came across a bunch of pretty nice-looking Nauticas for under $200. They also seemed to have good reviews. Any experience/feedback on the Nauticas? Thanks.
I'm pretty sure any Nautica watch is just a branded generic chinese watch. I would rather spend $ on a higher quality swiss piece like a Hamilton. Or even a nice automatic Seiko diver.
I hope I didn't sound condescending or snooty as that was definitely not my intention! My "real" watches are a Breitling Avenger Skyland and an Oris TT1 Divers. The Oris gave me 5.5 years of great service before it required a major service. The Breitling, while beautiful, simply stopped at 2 years and 2 months (i.e. 2 months after warranty expired). They say that it too needs a "major". Not impressed with Breitling at this moment but oh well. It's just bad timing (har har) that they both had to go in at the same time. Thanks for the feedback. I have seen some really nice looking Seikos on Amazon. Too bad the Blue Monster appears to be discontinued. Will check out the Hamiltons.
Found this one in HK earlier this year for ~135. I am asked often about it, and others are shocked when I say it is a swatch. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004Y6633Y/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=ergokeys-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399373&creativeASIN=B004Y6633Y
Looks like I won't see my Breitling and Oris for at least another 4 weeks. I'm really tempted by this http://www.jomashop.com/seiko-divers-mens-watch-skx009k1.html Good-looking automatic from a reputable company. How can you go wrong for $189? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have to agree I love my 009 Seiko.I end up choosing it over my more expensive watches most of the time.
I always thought these were very nicely styled. Too bad the actual F1 team did not have much success, it might have made the watch a collectible. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Careful - a lot of complaints of some Seikos being made in Malaysia now. Short life span. http://www.amazon.com/Seiko-SKX173-Automatic-Urethane-Strap/product-reviews/B00068TJ76/ref=cm_cr_dp_hist_1?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=0&filterBy=addOneStar
