I now have two functioning fans again. I took the motor out, dismantled it and reassembled it again and it seems to be fine, so maybe just a dodgy connection as originally suspected. Paul
Well if that is the case, it works. The only car I ever drove for the first ten years I had my license was a water cooled VW - in the deep south. I never had so much as a hiccup with vapor lock. Not one single time, ever. My mother drove one too. Same. K jetronic has been superman bulletproof in my experience.
