OK guys I know that I am in the Rocky Mountain Chat boards but I was just wondering two things.

    1. What is your Favorite car of all time?
    A. what is your favorite Ferrari?
    B. What is your favorite to drive?
    C. What is the most beautiful Car?

    and
    2. What is the best bang for the buck?
I would like to get into this whole race car thing within the next few years and have been lookig for good SCCA type cars. The only catch is I live in Iowa and would like to get a vintage car that can easily be converted from race to Show&Go With what I expect to be around a 10,000 budget I have ruled out Ferraris although one day I will have one. Roland I know you also have some P cars. I had a 912E all picked out but now the gentleman does not want to sell it. So I am open to new Ideas. It does not have to be really fast just really fun to drive!!!

    Please help me out guys!

    -Matt

    PS
Roland and John You guys don't really want those F40's. Just ship one or both out here and I will keep them safe for you!

just to let you know my favorite car has got to be hands down what ever Michael Schumacher is driving on Sundays.

as for my favorite "road going" ferrari the 288 GTO takes the cake. I don't know how it drives, performs, or handles, but it is my favorite all around car. I am a real fan of sleepers! and when you pull up in a 250 everybody knows it is a 250. but the 288 some might mistake for a 308!!! ultimate sleeper!!!

as for driving I would have to go with my old mustang from high school. Dad bought my sister and I a 1966 convertible no creature comforts AKA A/C or power anything except horses. When my brother and I got done tinkering it was running 314 bhp and ran a 12.6 at Cordova dragway for the battle of the High schools. I really liked driving that car but It didn't handle for ****! i would say the best handling car I ever drove had to be my friends boxster. that was fun!

and as for the most beautiful car!!
C'mon the dual cowl Duesenburg or the bugatti royale take that one without a question. They were sleek monsters!!!

Hello Matt, thanks for the offer on taking care of the F40...Let me think about that for a year or two !!!!
If you want to go racing at little $, get a 911. That's the best club car there is out there.
I have 2 here for sale . I/ GT2 911 suoer developped, that won the championship being undefeated (scca)
2/ 1973 Carrera RS track prep with a great engine, fuel cell etc..a prefect D.E car that runs like batts out hell !!!
That's the way to go play and racing with a small budget.
PM me if ab=ny interst in that.

I like the 911 idea, the 912 I was looking at would have been perfect. I will email you about the 73 but the other sounds too pricey
