The parallels between VIC and the former USSR grow by the day.

The very positive factoid buried in that article is that the US is far in advance of all other countries in administering the vaccine.

Where are the media articles praising the planning and execution by the various govt agencies involved?

Why no coverage?
1. the media is pathologically disinterested in good news
2. the planning was done by the Trump administration, for which no credit must ever be given

 

.............and that's about the only thing they've gotten right since it was called a pandemic!!!

 

health is administered by the states, not federal govt. The Democrat states account for about 80% of deaths. Just like VIC had 80% of deaths in Australia.

Even so, Belgium leads the world for deaths/million in a developed country, US is 10th.

btw post-Trump both the WHO and CDC have moved the goalposts for testing and cause of death, which is where most of the recent improvements have come from.

Can’t compare Belgium to US because of density values.
Similarly, the Dem areas are the densely populated and urban areas; R areas are rural, less populated. I bet if you drilled down the state figures you’d find the figures align urban/ rural.
US is finally getting its act together but a bit late with more than 1/2 million already dead...

This is about the only thread ,suitable to mention The Royal Commission into The Aged care. That I could find.

What a low life industry preying on the vulnerable ,not all but many ripping off the older members of society .Both with poor care and financial theft..

An industry full of "Grubs ,conman and both individual and corporate criminals "

I feel sorry for those who do the right by there clients having to be tied in with the above.

In this age of double and cross checking ,I find it unexceptable that criminals like that fellow that once upon a time that came on here could run nursing homes!

The industry both the Federal and State Governments have a lot to answer too, or in the past has all been to hard ,so just brush it off to Public and private industry .

I must saying having had a family member in a United Church nursing home ,they were treated well and with respect ..
