Thanks to the geniuses (no doubt someone like Accenture) who write the apps, the Android version of Service NSW doesn't work.

It says my certificate was linked, but nothing appears.

Hence I'm using mygov which has zero integrity.

Funny thing. I've been traveling around with my work. I've met with thousands of people over the past 2 years. I always ask everyone about the Covid, and no one has had it, or even knows anyone that's had it. lol

Sounds like a well designed, case controlled, double blinded, peer reviewed study to me. Thanks for publishing

    And likewise!

The way I read it is not that it is an argument against vaccination, and it is understandable that the author would be VERY sensitive about giving that impression! The argument in favor of vaccination is clearly made (for anyone over about 50 or otherwise vulnerable) by the dramatically improved outcomes relative to the risks of the vaccine, which we can argue about exactly how small they are but we definitely agree they're small. Where it gets tricky for me is healthy young people who have vanishingly small risk of serious illness or death from the disease itself, and therefore experience no real benefit from the vaccine. There are a couple charts to this effect that I posted a few pages back. I can dig them back up if interested.

I simply read it as illustrating that, in the field and among large populations, widespread vaccination does not appear to reduce case rates. No more, and no less. None of the studies you've posted contradict that, because they are all examining the effect of vaccines on individuals or small groups like families. No issue at all with these studies and their conclusions.

However, both individuals and small groups change their behavior based on vaccination status and severity of infection! People who are sick and have more than very mild symptoms tend to stay at home currently, certainly far more than in the past. That is a new and welcome behavior that should do a great job at reducing case rates! On the other hand, I would argue that, even with a reduced viral load, people with asymptomatic or very mild infections present the greatest opportunity for spread simply because of their behavior, and vaccinated people are most likely to have no/mild symptoms (or assume that "it's just a cold/allergies"). The paper simply says that these two effects appear to pretty much cancel each other out.

That's all. Nothing too crazy or controversial, I would think.

So, I deleted and reinstalled services NSW, then went through the digital certificate process with mygov and Medicare apps open, logins with 2 factor authentication, etc.

First time it appeared to work but no certificate appeared. Waited 10 minutes, ran the process again and the certificate appeared.

But my digital driver licence is gone and I get an error code when I try reload it.

FFS, I would be out of business in 5 minutes if I delivered such hard to use and unstable software to a commercial customer. And you can be sure that taxpayers have paid tens of millions for 2nd rate crap, probably written by contractors in India, with a 1000% mark up by Accenture.

Mel can’t get hers to work on her iPhone, seems as thought she has 2 Service NSW accounts and can’t remember either password. I’ve given up helping her with it, it’s caused too much marital disharmony :D
